Here's a conversation I had recently with some first-graders...*names have been changed for privacy reasons*
Me: "Betsy!"
Sally: "I'm not Betsy"
Me: "I know that Sally, I wasn't talking to you"
Sally: "Oh, who are you talking to?"
Me: "Betsy."
