Ethnic?

Conversation I had with a customer the other day....

Customer: "Well those earrings are....interesting"

Me: "Thanks! I really like them, I got them when I was in Venezuela."

Customer: "Oh, yeah.....they look....ethnic."

Conversation I had with my neighbor (the one that once asked me if I could fit in my trunk) the other day...

Him: "Oh? That's your truck?"

Me: "Well, it's my dad's, I'm just driving it for now while my car is getting fixed."

Him: "I saw that your car wasn't here last night, even late last night, so I thought you were out of town for the weekend"

Me: "Um, nope...."

Why is he monitoring my car late at night?!?!?!?!
